Now Hiring: Hydro Excavator Operator! Drive a Class B tanker truck & safely expose underground utilities using high-pressure water & vacuum. CDL & travel required. Be part of a premier service team that values safety, excellence & innovation!

We’re looking for a dependable Hydro Excavator Operator to safely operate hydro excavation equipment and support utility exposure projects in the field. This role requires strong, verifiable CDL driving experience, attention to safety, and the ability to perform in physically demanding outdoor environments while delivering reliable service.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate hydro excavation trucks using pressurized water and vacuum systems to safely expose underground utilities
  • Perform excavation work in compliance with safety standards and job specifications
  • Drive and maneuver Class A or B CDL vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Interpret utility markings and job site layouts to prevent damage and ensure accuracy
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues promptly
  • Assist with routine maintenance and basic mechanical upkeep of trucks and equipment
  • Communicate with customers on-site to ensure service expectations are met
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and vehicle at all times
  • Measure distances and depths using tape measures and basic math skills
  • Adapt to varying job site conditions, schedules, and customer needs
  • Work extended hours, including weekends or holidays, based on project demands

 

What You’ll Need

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement and minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience required
  • Acceptable driving record and current DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout 8–12 hour shifts
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb in and out of equipment frequently
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wet environments
  • Ability to work around industrial noise, pressurized systems, and exposure to water, mud, and debris while wearing required PPE
  • Willingness to travel between job sites and work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of job site safety practices
