Team: Fortify Cloud development team

About Our Product

OpenText Fortify is the industry's most mature automated application security testing solution and is recognized as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

We are expanding our Fortify Cloud development team and are looking for a self-motivated Software Developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges at scale. In this role, you will help design and build the next generation of cloud-native application security testing services used by organizations around the world.

You'll work at the intersection of software development, cloud platforms, automation, and security, helping create robust, scalable infrastructure and services that power Fortify's cloud offerings. This position requires employees to be based near and work from one of OpenText's Canadian office locations. Specific work arrangements will align with current OpenText workplace policies.

Your Impact:

As a member of the Fortify Cloud team, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions supporting Fortify Cloud services across public cloud platforms.

Build software, automation, and platform capabilities that improve reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity.

Develop reusable tools, frameworks, and services that simplify deployment and operational management.

Collaborate with software developers, test developers, security researchers, and product teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.

Participate in the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud architectures.

Improve deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational processes through automation and development best practices.

Troubleshoot complex production and development issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.

Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Expand your expertise in cloud technologies, application security, and modern software development practices.

What the role offers:

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in one or more of the following:

o C#/.NET

o Go (Golang)

o Java

o Similar modern programming languages

Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production software throughout the full development lifecycle.

Experience building and maintaining solutions on at least one major cloud platform: o AWS o Azure o GCP

Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code using modern IaC frameworks and tools (such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Bicep, or similar).

Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, including routing, connectivity, and security principles.

Experience with containerized applications and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems concepts.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and automated testing practices.

Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

Scripting and automation experience using technologies such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.

Familiarity with relational databases and SQL concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must be able to work from one of OpenText's Canadian office locations and collaborate effectively with distributed global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience.

Experience developing reusable platforms, frameworks, libraries, or automation that improve development productivity.

Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.

Experience with observability and monitoring technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar preferred.

Experience working in cybersecurity, application security, or highly regulated environments.

Strong knowledge of Windows administration and troubleshooting.

Experience implementing infrastructure testing, validation, and compliance automation.

Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, influence technical direction, and drive development improvements across teams.

Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $168,000.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
