Location: Newtown, CT

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join a growing team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an experienced professional who can take ownership of projects, work independently in the field, and support project execution across a wide range of low-voltage installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems, including:
    • Cat5e
    • Cat6
    • Cat6a
    • Fiber optic cabling
  • Install and service low-voltage systems, including:
    • Access control systems (door controllers, badge readers, etc.)
    • Security and surveillance systems (IP cameras, NVRs)
    • Audio/Visual systems
  • Support project execution to ensure successful completion of installations and upgrades.
  • Take ownership of assigned job sites by:
    • Reviewing plans and project layouts
    • Coordinating daily work activities
    • Managing project milestones and timelines
    • Ensuring quality standards are consistently met
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installations and service calls.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of existing low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain a professional presence on-site.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience as a Low Voltage Technician, Low Voltage Installer, Cable Technician, Inspector, or Audio Visual Technician.

    • CCTV/IP camera systems
    • Security systems
