Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Staff Attorney to join a growing legal team in Fredericksburg, VA. This role focuses primarily on Family Law Litigation, representing clients across a five-county region. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel, advocate for clients in court, and manage a diverse caseload while supporting the organization's mission of serving low-income and underserved communities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law matters and court proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and direct client representation.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for hearings, depositions, and litigation activities.
  • Manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advocate for low-income and underserved clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the organization's mission.


Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligible for admission under Virginia State Bar Rule 1A:9.
  • Strong interest in Family Law, including domestic violence matters.
