Job Overview:

Join our vibrant café team as a Barista & Lounge Attendant where your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this energetic role, you’ll craft delicious beverages, serve food with care, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will be vital in maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment while sharing your love for coffee and community. This person will be required to work 26-32 hours as it is part time work.


Responsibilities:

Lounge Attendant

  • Working the AM shift and serving breakfast buffet style in the members only lounge.
  • Keeping items stocked for the next shift to use and yourself the next day. Such as soda, water, juice, Dishes & Silverware
  • Required time to Work are 6am -12pm, 6-hour shifts in lounge.

Barista

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Assist in food handling and preparation, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns effectively
  • Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality standards
  • Required time to Work are 6am -12pm, 6 hour shifts in Coffee Shop.

Qualifications:

  • Prior barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time well
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
