POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Event Marketing will serve as the strategic architect for our entire event portfolio. In this senior leadership role, the primary focus will be the "big picture" seamlessly merging high-impact creative strategies with aggressive ticket sales goals.

This role will act as the conductor for a multi-disciplinary marketing department, ensuring that every channel operates in lockstep to maximize brand presence and revenue. This position requires a master strategist with exceptional financial acumen and a broad, working knowledge of the modern marketing ecosystem, capable of driving massive consumer turnout under fixed event deadlines.

Acting as the bridge between Events and the centralized Marketing team (media, social, creative, influencer, PR), this role ensures marketing is strategically sound, proactively developed, and executed with a clear focus on revenue.


ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Event Marketing Strategy

  • Define and lead overall marketing strategy for each event, including positioning, target audience, and demand generation approach
  • Develop comprehensive, full-funnel marketing plans across digital, social, influencer, and traditional channels with a clear focus on ticket sales
  • Establish KPIs across ticketing funnels, customer acquisition costs, and campaign performance
  • Align marketing strategy with pricing, timing, and demand curves to maximize sell-through and attendance
  • Responsible for Revenue and revenue goals for all event portfolio
Go-To-Market Leadership
  • Define go-to-market strategy for each event, including announcement, on-sale, and key promotional windows
  • Ensure campaigns are built to convert, not just generate awareness
  • Align paid, owned, earned, and influencer efforts to maximize impact
  • Oversee implementation of marketing efforts across digital, grassroots, radio, TV, and out-of-home
Cross-Functional Marketing Leadership
  • Define and lead the overarching marketing strategy across all disciplines.
  • Ensure alignment between brand, revenue goals, and event-level marketing plans.
  • Integrate efforts across Public Relations, Community & Marketing Partnerships, Traditional Marketing, Digital & Paid Media, Organic Social Media, Influencer Marketing, Sponsorship Marketing, Promotions & Experiential, Creative & Content, and Analytics & Reporting
  • Translate business objectives into actionable, measurable marketing plans.
  • Serve as the primary marketing lead within the Events team and the conduit to centralized Marketing
  • Translate event priorities into clear marketing direction across media, social, creative, influencer, and PR teams
  • Ensure marketing teams are proactively developing ideas that drive results, not just executing deliverables
  • Maintain alignment across timelines, priorities, and campaign execution
  • Hold teams accountable to performance, timelines, and output
  • Identify gaps in structure, capabilities, and workflows; implement solutions.
Creative & Content Direction
  • Provide direction on creative development including digital assets, video content, and promotional materials
  • Ensure all marketing content aligns with event positioning, resonates with target audiences, and drives ticket sales
  • Oversee social, content, and influencer strategies to build demand and audience engagement
Budget Management & Resource Allocation
  • Manage marketing budgets across event properties, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
  • Track spend against performance and optimize toward highest return channels
  • Ensure cost discipline while maximizing impact across all marketing efforts
Performance Reporting & Insights
  • Establish campaign benchmarks and reporting frameworks across all events
  • Provide regular performance updates to leadership, including pacing, risks, and optimization opportunities
  • Deliver post-event analysis with clear insights on performance, efficiency, and areas for improvement
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize spend, targeting, and channel effectiveness.
  • Translate learnings into actionable recommendations for future campaigns


Ticket Sales Performance & Optimization
  • Maintain real-time visibility into sales performance and identify risks early
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and drive optimization to improve conversion and ROI
  • Leverage data and analytics to refine targeting, messaging, and channel allocation
  • Identify performance gaps and implement immediate actions to accelerate sales
  • Own ticket sales pacing and attendance outcomes across assigned event properties


QUALIFICATIONS


Experience
  • 7–10+ years of experience in marketing, live events, entertainment, or ticketed experiences
  • Proven track record of developing marketing strategy and driving ticket sales/revenue
  • Experience leading integrated campaigns across digital, social, influencer, and traditional channels
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-volume environments with multiple concurrent campaigns
  • Holistic marketing capability – strategy, media mix, execution
Capabilities
