Position Description:
The Tube Laser Operator sets up and operates a laser cutting machine to cut metal tubes according to precise specifications. They ensure quality control, maintain equipment, and follow safety procedures to ensure efficient and accurate production.
Essential Functions:
Providing customers with the finest parts possible by operating and maintaining the tube laser-cutting machines.
Fabricating high quality parts by setting up, loading/unloading, producing and packaging laser-cut tube steel parts.
Cutting a wide variety of customer parts in various sizes, shapes and metal thickness
Ensuring finished parts meet Lou-Rich standards.
Working with a high degree of efficiency, skill, and quality to help keep customer costs reasonable.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate required.
One to two years of experience working in the actual construction of laser devices. Part of this may be part of a work-study program as long as actual working conditions are used in the training program.
Ability to accurately read drawings and specifications.
• Ability to learn at a fast pace
Experience operating machinery or working with metal is preferred.
Lou-Rich Training Requirements:
Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS - Timeclock, IFS - Navigation, ISO) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment.
Applicable training will be completed by following the Assembly or Press Room Training Matrix (F4400-35 or -041). The effectiveness of assembly training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on-the-job training will be determined by the Supervisor in preparation to operate on their own as needed. Any follow-up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60-day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
