J JOB SUMMARY
Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team at Lotus Behavioral Health. The ideal candidate should be skilled in-patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Contract- $55- $65.00/hourly BOE

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests for patients entering residential facility.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plan.
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and other relevant information.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient counseling and support, addressing concerns and answering questions regarding their medical condition and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, psychiatry NPs and behavioral therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Stay informed about current medical practices, guidelines, and advancements through continuous education and professional development activities.

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) a plus.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently within the scope of practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with proficient organizational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct.
Education and Experience:
• Graduation from a state-certified
• At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons
• Ability to work with youth/child populations
• Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Florida)
• No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs(e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP)
• Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of Provident credentialing staff.
