Long-Term Substitute Teacher
Elementary School (Kindergarten)
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide comprehensive educational instruction and classroom management for students in kindergarten. This position involves assuming the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher during an extended absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive educational environment.
Position Details
  • Position Type: Long-Term Substitute (10+ consecutive school days)
  • Grade Levels: Kindergarten
  • Reports To: Building Principal and Assistant Principal
  • Classification: Temporary, Full-Time during assignment period
  • Work Schedule: Regular school hours as determined by assignment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional Responsibilities
  • Implement and deliver lesson plans as provided by the regular classroom teacher or develop appropriate instructional materials when needed
  • Maintain curriculum continuity and ensure student learning objectives are met
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student work, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Prepare detailed reports for the returning teacher regarding curriculum covered and student achievements

Classroom Management

Professional Collaboration

Required Qualifications
Education and Licensure
