Location: Elgin, Texas

Position Overview
In this critical role, you'll be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for a specific product family. quoting and estimating customer requests for a specific product family. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to support quoting, pricing, and profitability goals.
This is a newly created position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer specifications, drawings, blueprints, and requirements to determine scope of work
  • Develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, overhead, and run time
  • Work closely with Engineering to determine manufacturability
  • Partner with Manufacturing Leads, Supervisors, Machinists, Customer Service, Regional Sales Managers, Estimating, and Purchasing teams to develop, implement, and maintain various manufacturing plans, bills of materials, and work instructions
  • Communicate internally and externally in a professional manner through email and phone
  • Review and track variances against standards on various jobs and update standards where necessary
  • Assist with manufacturing planning for specific product family
  • Update ERP system with new/revised data

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or associate's degree with related manufacturing experience
  • Technical aptitude
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with ERP software
