Job description

You are an experienced Tire & Lube Technician who takes pride in keeping vehicles and equipment operating safely and efficiently. You enjoy hands-on work, have a strong mechanical aptitude, and are committed to quality, safety, and preventative maintenance.

Please Note: This position is not with a provincially registered apprenticeship training employer. While 310T and 310S apprentices are welcome to apply, hours worked in this role will not count toward apprenticeship certification.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and tire services

  • Drain and replace engine oil in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards

  • Inspect, top up, and replace essential vehicle fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid

  • Lubricate vehicle components, including wheel bearings and other moving parts, to support safe and reliable operation

  • Replace common maintenance items such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers, and batteries

  • Perform multi-point vehicle inspections, including brake measurements and underbody inspections, and accurately document findings through work orders

  • Inspect tire condition, tread depth, wear patterns, and tire pressure, recommending repairs or replacements as required

  • Repair minor tire punctures, replace valve stems, and mount and balance new tires

  • Maintain accurate service records while following company procedures and safety standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience performing tire services, oil changes, and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment

  • Must possess a full, valid driver's licence and be able to provide current Standard and CVOR Driver's Abstracts with an acceptable driving record.

  • 3-5 years of related experience is considered an asset

  • Previous experience in a similar Tire & Lube Technician or automotive service role

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to inspect and identify maintenance requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience completing work orders and maintenance documentation

  • College, trade, or technical education is considered an asset

  • First-year 310T or 310S apprenticeship or certification is considered an asset

Work Conditions:

  • Training schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts for approximately 2 weeks

  • Regular schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. following the successful completion of training

  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs

  • Work is performed in both shop and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dirt, and dust

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with lifting aids available for heavier loads

  • Occasional travel to pick up parts and supplies

    Compensation

    $29.99 - $39.40 per hour

    This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

    Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
