Job description

The Mechanicsburg PA office is looking for Bridge Design Engineers with interest and experience in Complex and Long Span Fixed Bridge Design to join their National Bridge Group.
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years related Bridge Design Experience
  • At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
    • MS in Civil Engineering is preferred
  • Ideal candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE
  • Possesses specialized knowledge in one or more areas of bridge analysis and design (for example: concrete analysis, time dependent post-tensioned concrete, seismic, foundations, etc.).
What You'll Do:
  • Identify complex problems, evaluate options, and suggest/implement solutions.
  • Effectively manage time and resources in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Mentor entry level engineers
  • Use computer assisted design and drafting software.
  • Use more advanced engineering analysis software.
  • Design, detail and create contract plan sheets for bridge related projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients and subcontractors.
  • Receive and convey ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-workers, Project Managers, administrative supervisor, other team members, clients, and subcontractors
  • Produce project related internal and external correspondence.

Projects include new design and rehabilitation of complex and long span bridges such as arches, post-tensioned concrete structures, cable stayed bridges, suspension bridges, and all other structure types. M&M's forensic and collapse investigation expertise, as well as seismic and erection engineering, is also housed in this unit.
