Lazer Tow is a company dedicated to excellence in everything we do. Whether it is towing passenger vehicles, motorcycles, trucks, tractor-trailers, motorhomes, or heavy construction equipment, we make the extra effort to meet or exceed your expectations.

We have over 40 state-of-the-art wreckers, flatbeds, and tractor/trailers to ensure we can handle all your towing and equipment hauling needs. Our drivers are trained, experienced, uniformed and USDOT certified. We provide service to the entire Kansas City Metropolitan Area as well as long distance towing and nationwide equipment hauling.

We are seeking both entry level and experienced Tow Truck Operators eager to join a fast paced and growing team!

We have immediate openings for full-time tow truck operators. We are looking to hire motivated, hardworking individuals who are willing to work nights and weekends. Are you ready to be part of the best tow company in the KC area?

Hauling Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of vehicles, equipment, and accessories such as tire, lights, turn signals and brakes.
  • Experience with loading equipment and ensuring it is properly loaded and secured according to safety requirements.
  • Communicate with others using communication devices such as two-way radio.
  • Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Report any problems to your manager as soon as possible.
  • Perform daily pre & post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
  • Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment, refer major problems to the supervisor.
  • Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.

Hauling Requirements:

  • Must have a valid CDL driver license.
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver.
  • Good driving record.
  • Must have oversize load (width, length, and height) hauling experience.
  • Detach Trailer Experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to travel overnight occasionally. Most trips will be day trips.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, conditions, etc.)
  • Knowledge of applicable trucking driving rules and regulations.
  • Ensure safe transportation and delivery of freight to designated locations.
  • Inspect assigned vehicle regularly to identify and report any repairs or maintenance needed. Ensure the vehicle is neat and tidy.
  • Report any accidents or damage incurred during transport to supervisor.
  • Demonstrates positive customer service attitude - both to coworkers and customers.
  • Possess good English verbal communication, legible handwriting, and basic math.
  • Able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in tight spaces
  • Ability to work in extreme weather
  • Ability to walk considerable distances in the facility during the day
  • Sits behind driving wheel for extended periods of time
