Lo-Los Chicken & Waffles:

Position: Line Cook

Location: In person required: 1220 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ85003

Shift: Open, Swing, Closing, Weekends, Holidays

Starting Base Salary: $16 - $21 per hour depending on experience

Expected Hours: 10 - 30 hours per week (based upon business needs)

Supervisory: Reports to BOH Team Lead, Shift Supervisor, Assist GM, and General Manager

Position Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to quality. This role includes setting up and stocking stations, following recipes and portion standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring all food is prepared safely and efficiently. Line Cooks work closely with the kitchen team to support smooth service, communicate effectively during highvolume periods, and uphold the restaurants standards for speed, flavor, and presentation. Success in this position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused and calm in a fastpaced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards

• Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of your station
• Ensure food quality, portion accuracy, and proper presentation
• Follow all food safety and health guidelines
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and daily kitchen tasks
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Work efficiently during highvolume periods while staying calm and focused

What Were Looking For:

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
• Dependable, punctual, and eager to serve
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong understanding of health regulations and ability to enforce cleanliness standards.
• Required certifications Food Handlers Certification
