Logistics Specialist
Rubicon is seeking a Logistics Specialist supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Geismar, Louisiana. This position will report to the PU Americas Logistics Manager.
Job Scope
The Logistics Specialist supports the Americas Logistics Manager by analyzing logistics data, monitoring network performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
In summary, as the Logistics Specialist, you will:
  • Support logistics strategies that improve service levels, reliability, and cost performance.
  • Analyze freight, warehouse, carrier, and OTIF performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain logistics dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and management reports using SAP, TMS, Power BI, Excel, and AI tools.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve supply chain performance.
  • Support logistics budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and savings initiatives.
  • Assist with capacity planning for warehouses, transload sites, railcars, leased equipment, and transportation resources.
  • Track and report results of logistics improvement projects, including cost savings and productivity gains.
  • Provide logistics reporting and decision support to Commercial, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison with warehouses, transload facilities, carriers, railroads, and third-party logistics providers.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Rubicon in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or analytics.
  • Experience with SAP, TMS, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Unrestricted right to work in the US
