Job description

Join Triumph! At Triumph, our vision is a world where freight transactions are accurate and seamless on the most modern and secure freight transaction network. That’s why we’re looking for passionate, innovative, solutions-oriented people to join our team. We thrive on providing exceptional customer service and we look for team members with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to build successful partnerships with our clients. Because at the end of the day our goal is to help our partners businesses run better.

The SVP, Operations is a Dallas-based senior leader responsible for operating and improving critical back‑office functions supporting Triumph's Audit & Payments business.

This role will lead high‑volume and exception‑based workflows with a focus on service quality, productivity, scalability, risk mitigation, and expense discipline.

The leader will develop accountable operations managers, build decision‑ready performance visibility, and partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Treasury, Fraud, and Customer Success to modernize work through practical process improvement, AI, automation, and tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead day‑to‑day execution and transformation of back‑office functions supporting Audit & Payments, aligning service, quality, risk, productivity, and expense outcomes with business needs.
  • Redesign high‑volume and exception‑based workflows by making work visible, clarifying ownership and handoffs, and reducing avoidable rework, delays, manual effort, and customer friction.
  • Build operating metrics and review cadences that connect activity to outcomes, including SLA performance, backlog aging, throughput, capacity, quality, unit cost, risk mitigation, and customer value.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and AI/automation resources to translate operational needs into practical improvements and business cases.
  • Lead distributed and offshore teams through managers and team leads, setting clear expectations for productivity, quality, coaching, accountability, and morale.
  • Strengthen cross‑functional execution with Treasury, Fraud, Customer Success, and other partners by resolving ownership gaps, escalation paths, and decision needs.
  • Present concise, decision‑ready performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, practical innovation, operational discipline, and respectful accountability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

The successful candidate will possess senior operations leadership experience with measurable improvement in complex, people‑and‑process intensive environments.

Ideal experience includes: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, Operations, or other related field required; advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including leadership of complex, high‑volume, back‑office, shared‑services, financial services, logistics, BPO, revenue‑cycle, or comparable operational environments.

Demonstrated success improving service levels, quality, productivity, expense scalability, controls, and customer outcomes in a measurable way.

Experience leading workflow redesign, root‑cause analysis, operating cadence development, and performance management in knowledge‑work or transaction‑processing environments.

Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, and automation/AI teams to prioritize improvements based on operational value and business impact.

Experience managing distributed, offshore/nearshore, vendor‑supported, or low‑cost labor models, preferably through managers or team leads.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Curious process and systems thinker who can turn ambiguous work into clear inputs, decisions, handoffs, controls, metrics, and improvement priorities.

Strong analytical and operating economics mindset; skilled at using data to diagnose performance, capacity, quality, cost, and root causes.

Practical AI and automation judgment; understands how to improve processes before automating them and where controls or human review are required.

Product‑minded operator who can translate operational pain into clear business cases, requirements, and prioritization tradeoffs.

Constructive change leader who can raise expectations, challenge assumptions, and maintain trust and morale during change.

Strong executive communicator with high integrity, sound judgment, and an ownership mindset consistent with Triumph's values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
