Logistics Specialist- Clerical- Shipping and Receiving

As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. The Shipping/ Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparation and packaging of orders for shipment. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk utilizes Warehouse Management Systems to work with receivers to supply paperwork and generate reporting for all receiving activities. He/she can also be responsible for moving or removing materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a pallet jack or other material handling equipment as required. The Shipping/ Receiving Clerk can also be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping, and other various duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the National Distribution Center.

How you create impact
  • Accurately validate, record, and manage inbound/outbound shipments and documentation using WMS and reporting tools.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (pick lists, packing lists, PODs), maintain records, and ensure data accuracy through audits and tracking logs.
  • Coordinate with carriers, customers, and warehouse teams to schedule, trace, and resolve shipment issues.
  • Support warehouse operations including inventory receiving, light material handling, palletizing, and use of equipment as needed.
  • Perform administrative and compliance duties such as reporting, audit support, data entry, help desk tickets, and maintaining tracking spreadsheets and logs.

What we would like you to bring
  • High school diploma or GED required1+ year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience
  • Experience processing 50+ shipments per day or working in a high-volume environment
  • Basic computer skills with data entry accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hour shifts
  • Experience working with inventory systems (WMS) or similar platforms
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written English to perform essential job functions and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and meet daily productivity targets
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including overtime or weekends
