Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team at the Hanover MD location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise, schedule, and delegate tasks to warehouse associates, forklift drivers, and shipping/receiving clerks.
  • Oversee daily picking, packing, staging, and loading operations to ensure all customer orders are shipped accurately and on time Assisting and reporting on equipment for projects and refresh.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers and carriers for daily pickups and deliveries; verify documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, packing slips, commercial invoices).
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts).
  • Monitor team performance against daily KPIs (e.g., order cycle time, shipping accuracy) and provide real-time coaching
  • Conduct routine cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
  • Quickly resolve day-to-day issues such as damaged goods, mis shipments, or carrier delays.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics
  • 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or equivalent).
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems and RF guns.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Certification or ability to get certified in forklift operation within 6 months of start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Train-the-Trainer certification

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Poly

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move and lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Working with data.
  • Move about freely in a laboratory setting.
  • Repetitive motions.
