Job description

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Logistics Software Engineer III to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system . The qualified candidate will join our UK Logistics/CLASP team in Rockville, MD and support the U.S. and UK users of the Comprehensive Logistics Automated Support Program (CLASP) which provides U.S. logistics data to support the UK Trident II Strategic Weapon System (SWS), Strategic Weapons Support Systems (SWSS), and Selected Ship Systems (SSS) for the UK Vanguard and Dreadnought class Trident II submarines. CLASP also provides online processing and monitoring of UK requisitions submitted to the U.S. CLASP is sponsored by our U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) logistics customer. The successful candidate will be involved with learning the features and functionality of CLASP, as well as interacting with customers and the BAE Systems' CLASP engineers. This position is responsible for: * Learning the features and functionality of the CLASP System. * Supporting UK Logistics/CLASP team with CLASP help desk requests from users, software change requests, and software trouble reports. * Learning the features and functionality of the Oracle Business Intelligence tool to administer query and report capabilities in CLASP. * Participate in other UK Logistics meetings in support of the SSP customer. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, and four (4) years of relevant experience; or two (2) years of equivalent experience with a Master's Degree; or six (6) years of equivalent experience with an Associate's Degree, or eight (8) years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma * Demonstrated experience in Database Administration * Strong knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Forms / Reports / BI Publisher * Proficiency with SQL / PL SQL * Knowledge of a Structured Programming Language * Knowledge of Unix / LINUX operating systems * Knowledge of "C" Structured Programming Language * Excellent verbal and written skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware Administration * Knowledge of Navy Logistics / SWS Submarine program * Knowledge with Common Business-Oriented Language (COBOL) Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
