We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S.
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a SE-3 TGS Project Manager Project Engineer for the Cyber TMAS II contract, supporting the Air Force.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 3 years of technical experience is required. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active Secret clearance - US Citizenship is required.
  • Air Force acquisition project management experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing test strategies for DOD software or hardware tests.
  • Strong understanding of the DOD acquisition, weapons systems, DT&E and OT&E processes.
  • Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders to define project scope, maintain project status, develop schedules and budgets, and develop project documentation.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills, good interpersonal communications skills and be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the use and integration of MS Office Word, Excel and Power point applications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
  • Project Management Professional course work or certification.
  • Air Force operations, test or project management experience.
  • Experience in one or more of C4ISR, Range maintenance, Data Links, Defensive Systems or Cybersecurity in the test planning and execution environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide programmatic support for a wide range of 96 CTG test projects.
  • Prepare test cost estimates, customer test agreements, test directives and other project documentation.
  • Initiate, develop test requirements for and supervise complex test projects including mission planning systems, flight test, weapons testing, electronic warfare testing, software testing or cybersecurity testing.
  • Provide training and mentoring to 96 CTG project managers on test processes, project management processes, project management measurement and control, and project budgets.
  • Manage the financial status of test projects including coordinating with financial managers, monitoring funding documents, verifying expenses, and complying with DOD financial and contractual guidance.
  • Coordinate test resource requirements with customers, leadership and test engineering personnel.
  • Coordinate test project approvals, safety, technical support, range management, facilities, logistics, security, frequency management and reporting for assigned programs.
  • Manage project information using Government test management systems for documentation workflows, finance management and project management.
  • Travel on occasion in support of project planning, execution or reporting.
