ESI also fabricates HDPE plastic pipe systems used for water, leachate, and gas management in solid waste, petrochemical, and industrial applications. The business is built on long-term client relationships, a strong safety culture, dependable performance, and a focus on operational quality.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Baton Rouge, LA. The Project Manager will oversee geosynthetic liner and related HDPE piping projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements are met. Responsibilities include developing project plans, coordinating procurement and logistics, managing subcontractors and field crews, and monitoring safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The role will collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and internal teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and provide regular progress updates and reporting. Daily activities also include reviewing drawings and specifications, tracking project costs and change orders, supporting inspections and quality control, and driving continuous improvement in project execution.

Qualifications

  • Project coordination and control skills, including Project Management and Expediting, to plan, monitor, and deliver complex field projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience as an Expeditor and with Expediting processes to track materials, documentation, and approvals required to keep construction activities on schedule.
  • Knowledge of Inspection practices to support quality control, verify conformance with specifications, and document field conditions and test results.
  • Logistics Management capabilities to coordinate equipment, materials, and crew movements across sites and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Prior experience managing construction or industrial projects, preferably in geosynthetics, civil construction, or environmental services.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external partners.
  • Proficiency with project management software and standard office tools; ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and contracts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in field operations.
