As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. The Customer Onboarding Project Manager is responsible for managing the overall project plan for assigned projects including new business start-ups and special projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget and achieves KN/Customer objectives. This includes developing and managing project plans, oversight of project controls, facilitating meetings, project reporting, metrics collection and assessment, risk management, contract management, and contingency planning. May supervise or have indirect supervisory responsibility for other personnel relative to all work performed on assigned projects.

How you create impact

Develop project plans and recommendations in support of KN/Customer objectives and lead implementation; track and report on the status of the project.
Develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships. Successfully manage customer expectations.
Direct members of the respective project teams during the course of each implementation phase; the number of team members will typically vary between 3 and 15.
Control and monitor project effectiveness; update project plan as necessary.
Manage project scope and ensure change control process is adhered to.
Identify, track, manage and mitigate project issues and risks.
Develop escalation process to channel issues and concerns to appropriate parties.
Represent KN in meetings with external parties including client, consultants, vendors, and others.
Provide regular project communications and timely status reports, as well as align goals, objectives and priorities within the team.

What we would like you to bring

3-5 years' management experience in a warehouse environment or as a Project Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or related field or equivalentwork experience required
The ability to create and manage work plans and timelines and handle multiple priorities is essential
Must work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate (verbal and written) effectively with customers, peers and senior management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
Up to 50% tavel may be requiredWorking knowledge of financial reporting systems
Working knowledge of Warehouse & Transportation Management Systems (WMS & TMS)
Working knowledge of financial reporting systems
Six Sigma Certification and understanding of LEAN program methodologies preferred
