Job description

MEC Energy Services MEC Energy Services has an immediate opening for a person well versed in Logistics Management and Corrosion Prevention and Control supporting the Air Force C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program Position Summary The successful candidate will serve as our senior technical authority in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), corrosion prevention and control related sustainment program analyses for the C‑130 weapon system.  This position provides expert‑level guidance to government engineers, logisticians, program managers, and technical specialists to ensure aircraft supportability, readiness, and long‑term material integrity.  The role requires deep experience in aircraft corrosion programs, aircraft structural maintenance techniques, technical data development, maintenance data analysis, and sustainment planning across the entire C-130 life cycle. Key Responsibilities Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) & Sustainment Management * Apply advanced ILS management principles to integrate logistics, engineering, technical data, supply support, and other functional elements into the program’s ILS Plan.
* Advise government specialists—including engineers, item managers, maintainers, technical data experts, project managers, mission planners, and training personnel—on ILS processes, sustainment strategies, and supportability requirements.
* Advise government specialists with comprehensive C‑130 logistics analyses, including supply system integration, provisioning, maintenance planning, and sustainment risk identification.
Corrosion Prevention & Control Program Support * Analyze aircraft maintenance data to identify potential root causes of corrosion, coating failures, and material degradation trends.
* Provide the C-130 Corrosion Program Manager with expert recommendations for corrective actions, process improvements, and sustainment risk mitigation.
* Interpret and define C‑130 Mission Design Series (MDS) coating color schemes, sealant requirements, and corrosion prevention and control specifications.
* Support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of corrosion prevention and control programs across the C-130 fleet.
Technical Data, TO Management & Engineering Support * Review, draft, and validate Technical Order (TO) change requests to ensure corrosion prevention and control requirements are accurately incorporated into TOs, job guides, and work card decks.
* Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure sustainment, materials and corrosion requirements are properly integrated into technical documentation and maintenance procedures.
* Develop and manage Demonstration/Validation (Dem/Val) and Validation/Verification (Val/Ver) test plans for materials, coatings, and corrosion‑related processes.
Corrosion Prevention Advisory Board (CPAB) Support * Team member in the resolution of action items generated during the annual CPAB Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM).
* Facilitate the quarterly virtual CPAB virtual sessions to review progress on new and ongoing action items.
* Provide engineering and technical support in planning, programming, and executing the annual CPAB TIM, including agenda development, technical briefings, and coordination with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications * Minimum 15 years of experience in the US Air Force or related aviation industry structural maintenance and/or corrosion prevention and control program activities.
* Extensive knowledge of ILS principles, processes, and sustainment planning methodologies.
* Demonstrated expertise in aircraft corrosion mechanisms, composite repair, structural repair,  coating systems, sealants, and materials engineering.
* Strong background in C‑130 logistics, aircraft structural maintenance repair, sustainment analysis, and technical data review.
* Proven ability to analyze maintenance data and identify root causes of corrosion‑related or other material degradation causes and possible mitigation.
* Experience developing or reviewing Technical Orders, maintenance procedures, and engineering documentation.
* Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate across engineering, logistics, supply, and maintenance communities.
* Must be able to acquire and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience supporting AFLCMC, ALCs, or other active duty, reserve or air guard aircraft maintenance and/or sustainment organizations.
* Prior experience in aircraft structural maintenance repair, coating test and evaluation, and composite repair
* Familiarity with CPAB processes, TIM execution, and sustainment governance forums.
* Experience with LSA/LSAR, provisioning, and life‑cycle sustainment planning.
* Knowledge of DoDI 5000.91, LCSP development, and USAF corrosion prevention policies considered a plus.
