Job description

In keeping with the mission and values of Big Thunder Marine, and the pledge to maintain our presence as the premier watercraft dealer in Lake of the Ozarks, the Yard Logistics Coordinator supports this initiative by serving as the primary support staff to our sales and service departments. The YL will ensure the continued growth and success of our company by focusing on clear communication and efficiency of the sales and service teams' workflow. At all times the YL work to enhance our customer service experience and create lasting relationships with our clients.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Work carefully at all times to ensure safety standards are met and enforced. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent injury. Ensure all watercraft is properly clear and disconnected from electrical implements prior to pulling from service bay, water, or unloading from trailer
• Assist in maintaining and repair the equipment used to move and handle watercraft. Update maintenance logs and record all routine maintenance and repairs conducted on each piece of equipment
• Familiarize yourself with our inventory of new, used, brokered, and client owned watercraft and trailers on site. Be prepared to move watercraft as needed to ensure the service flow is efficient and smooth
• Conduct a review of client watercraft upon receipt. Take note of any damage (including cosmetic damage) or additional notable features to ensure any future client claims are accurate
• Maintain the cleanliness and general organization of the service shop and conduct repairs to facility as needed. Report major repairs to Logistics Coordinator.
• Responsibilities pertaining to Covered Docks, Storage, and Stored Watercraft:
  • Facilitate monthly check of all watercraft
  • Report any damage to watercraft or dock/lifts to Logistics Coordinator immediately.
  • Properly cover and block all watercraft. Ensure boats are draining properly and water is not pooling on covers and drain plugs removed

• Assist Service Technicians with routine maintenance and repair upon request
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned by Logistics Coordinator.

Skills & Abilities
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required, Post-secondary education is desired
Experience: 2-4 years' marine sales and/or service experience preferred
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.
Certifications & Licenses: Forklift Certification is a requirement (Big Thunder Marine will provide training) Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class E drivers and MO boaters license
Work Environment
Typical office environment with moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environment may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
