Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager who is ready to sell, support and build our business growth.  In this hybrid remote role, you’ll carry your own pipeline and close deals from day one, while helping shape our sales process and mentoring our growing team.  This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who wants ownership over how our sales and growth scales, with a clear path to leading the team as we grow.  Our focus is primarily on US-based Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).  We’re looking for a strong sales background in freight forwarding, logistics, customs brokerage and/or transportation services, along with exceptional sales, negotiation and relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities – Business Development & Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and achieve revenue growth objectives.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and performance metrics through CRM and reporting tools.
  • Develop and deliver pricing quotes for clients and prospects in collaboration with internal teams, and proactively schedule and coordinate in-person meetings to build relationships and advance the sales cycle
  • Understand client needs and present tailored transportation and freight solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and pricing recommendations in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Negotiate terms and close business in alignment with company goals and service capabilities.
  • Partner with operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure a smooth handoff and high client satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing and refine sales outreach cadence, sales process, create sales scripts and training material.
  •  Refine performance metrics, customer qualification criteria and accountability standards
  • Build and mentor junior sales team member(s), with growing management responsibility as the team scales
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Represent the company professionally in virtual meetings, industry events, and client communications.

 Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in sales/business development with at least 2+ years’ experience in sales leadership required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience within logistics, import/export processes, transportation, customs, trade compliance and supply chain services is required; strong presence toward experience with ocean freight.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience using Monday.com system, Magaya, is preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying organized and accountable.  Must be willing to travel for sales development purposes and attend in-person quarterly meetings located in Coral Springs, FL.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess opportunities and develop practical solutions.
  • Professional, proactive, and adaptable approach to managing client needs and sales priorities.
