Job description

Duties As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-09, you will plan and coordinate all matters pertaining to new and displaced equipment fielding, equipment readiness, and provide guidance and miscellaneous logistic/training fielding support to the Major Commands and subordinate elements; oversee, coordinate and administer the logistic/training functions by developing and issuing policy guidance on new/displaced equipment fielding matters including receipt, storage, deprocessing, issue, and property accountability; monitor the status of deprocessing of new equipment being fielded; coordinate maintenance support by external organizations for deprocessing. Coordinate internal maintenance support for deprocessing; develop budget estimates for New/Displaced Equipment Fielding and Training; be responsible as the Sub-Program Manager for monitoring and maintaining the NET/DET budget; perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment * NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Employment ends unless certified in writing that it advances the agencies interest. * Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. * This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted (E8 and below) or Warrant Officer (WO1 - CW2) Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : (Must have at least 24 months) experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Education You must provide transcripts to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position. Additional information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency ( ).
