As a Senior Network Optimization Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and developing basic network optimization models and identifying and implementing business process improvement opportunities across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will frequently interact with our business and leadership teams regarding key projects and initiatives in Distribution, Transportation, Product Supply and Customer Success. You will also be involved in ad hoc analysis of large datasets to quickly provide insight into the business opportunities, primarily those related to our multi-billion dollar supply chain network! This is a newly created role designed to support our business operations with a mix of network optimization analysis, logistics, project management and continuous improvement!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Create Supply Chain Optimization models for hypothetical requests.

  • Analyze and provide recommendations on business processes improvements and optimization.

  • Collect voice of customer information, create model and report out modeling results to key Supply Chain stakeholders.

  • Independently identify transportation, warehousing, and plant operational cost network savings opportunities based on current and future constraints.

  • Support process improvement projects resulting from network analytics.

  • Function as an analytics analyst for assigned functions by executing standard reports and running / maintaining ad hoc queries to support complex decision making.

  • Support continuous efforts to improve processes, increase data integrity, and provide quality customer service to our business partners.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure strong understanding of the methodology behind all calculations.

  • Provide comprehensive fact-based analytics to support and/or identify opportunities to impact operational results, make changes to processes, and support strategic initiatives.

  • Support process improvement projects resulting from network analytics to increase performance and/or minimize costs.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Data Analytics or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Proficient in advanced features of Excel.

  • Skilled with MS SQL, Alteryx or equivalent relational database technologies required.

  • Adept in understanding Supply Chain functions and Logistics Operations

  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills.

  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently and work well under tight timelines.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technology and business logic.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well both independently and collaborate with other in a fast-paced and rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

  • Up to 15% travel required.

The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually.

Smithfield Foods provides pay ranges that reflect its good faith estimate of thesalary or hourly wagethe company reasonably expects to pay for a positionat the time of hire. Individual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, location of the position, the candidate's qualifications and experience, internal equity, external market pay for comparable positions and budget considerations.
