Job Summary:
The Outbound Logistics Specialist supports Kalsec's warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant shipment of products to domestic and international customers. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, coordinate cross-functional activities, and proactively address customer and operational needs to support service excellence and supply chain efficiency.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Outbound Shipment Execution & Coordination
  • Prepare, review, and manage outbound shipping documentation, including hazardous materials and customs clearance paperwork, for domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate freight pickup and transportation with approved logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment execution.
  • Monitor outbound shipment schedules and forecast upcoming workload requirements, proactively identifying potential capacity constraints and communicating staffing or resource needs to the Logistics Manager.
  • Provide guidance to warehouse personnel regarding order prioritization, picking and fulfillment sequencing, and proper packaging and labeling standards.
  • Partner closely with the Customer Experience team to ensure a seamless and accurate handoff of customer orders from order management to outbound logistics execution.
  • Collaborate with Finished Goods Planning and Customer Experience to research and reconcile inventory discrepancies to support accurate and timely customer order fulfillment.

Compliance, Global Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of international shipping regulations, including country-specific import/export requirements, Incoterms®, harmonized tariff classifications, and hazardous materials packaging and labeling standards.
  • Apply sound business practices to build and maintain effective working relationships with domestic and international logistics partners.
  • Utilize shipping and logistics best practices to optimize transit times while minimizing cost to Kalsec and its customers.
  • Coordinate directly with Kalsec satellite locations (Europe, China, Singapore, and Mexico) regarding outbound freight requirements for raw materials, finished goods, and samples, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Comply with Kalsec's Quality Assurance (QA) policies and objectives by strictly adhering to all applicable procedures outlined in the Quality Manual.
  • Contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment by sharing responsibilities, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining flexibility in daily tasks.

Qualifications:
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in international shipping documentation and export processes
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Keyboarding proficiency
  • Professional and positive phone etiquette

  • Prior order entry or order management experience

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to perform light lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to walk throughout the warehouse and navigate stairs
