Logistics Operations Assistant
Location:Owosso, MI (On-Site)
Pay:$17.50/hr, pay evaluation at 30 days
Schedule:Train on the day shift, then will transition to either a Noon –9PM or 3-11PM

Are you organized, detail-focused, and confident communicating with drivers? Our client in Owosso is seeking a Logistics Operations Assistant to support shipment tracking, scheduling, and office operations. Great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping processes running smoothly!

Duties:

• Make and receive driver check-in calls and record ETAs, arrivals, and departures.
• Track active shipments using tools such as MacroPoint, Trucker Tools, and customer portals.
• Handle pickup and delivery scheduling through customer systems (Tesla, RXO, Uber Freight, etc.).
• Upload all shipment documents including PODs, BOLs, securement photos, timestamps, and weight tickets.
• Prepare status updates and assist with customer communication.
• Maintain spreadsheets, load logs, and organized digital/physical files.
• Assist Account Leads with equipment verification and driver requirements.
• Answer incoming office calls and support daily office workflow.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance.
• Clear, confident communication with drivers and customers.
• Ability to follow established procedures and adapt to a changing workload.
• Comfortable using email, Excel, PDFs, and online portals.
• Previous logistics, dispatch, transportation, or office experience preferred (not required).
