Responsibilities

Job Summary: Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations for a team or group of teams within a single facility or function in compliance with established policies and procedures. Participates in interpreting and implementing policies and procedures for the organization. Ensures Partner compliance to established practices and proper training of staff. Prepares related reports and audits current procedures to monitor efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Provides Team Leaders technical training, coaching, and developmental opportunities. Uses performance measurements (Partner retention, injury rate, timeliness of performance feedback, Partner feedback) to provide performance feedback to Team Leaders.
  • Ensures that Facility is in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines, and governance.
  • Creates and executes a communication plan to share tactical and strategic plans and initiatives with Partners. Periodically reviews performance expectations to ensure alignment with goals.
  • Proactively identifies and remains actively involved in critical situations that can impact operations and service to customers
  • Performs demand forecasting, monitors Partner retention and determines appropriate staffing levels.
  • Sets expectations and goals related to the facility's key performance indicators. Provides support and direction to ensure facility meets these goals.
  • Notifies Team Leaders of operational goals and gains their commitment.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes impacting service to customers. Learns the customer's challenges and objectives and develops plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Sets expectations for a clean, safe, well organized, and pest free facility. Ensures all sanitation and safety issues are addressed. Responsible for maintenance and implementation of all HACCP protocol.
  • Tracks, analyzes and communicates the Facility safety requirements.
  • Participates in and supports divisional strategic initiatives. Develops strategies to meet short term and long term business objectives.
  • Majority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related business decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions including but not limited to product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding or otherwise engaged in resolving Partner-related matters.

Work Experience:

  • 4+ years of related industry experience - Required
  • 3+ years of management experience with extensive expertise in the distribution & logistics operations - Required

  • Advanced knowledge of compliance standards in related areas: industry, OSHA, EEOC and Employment Laws - Required
  • Advanced multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required - Required
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience with presentations to superiors, peers and subordinates - Required

  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills - Required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level not limited to: creating spreadsheets, graphs and charts and preparing presentations - Required

Licenses/Certifications:
