Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a MANAGER- REGIONAL SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS to join our SUPPLY CHAIN team!
Working closely with the System Director, Supply Chain Operations and Logistics, the Regional Manager, Supply Chain Operations and Logistics is responsible for optimizing all supply chain operations and logistics functions, processes and systems and is accountable for leading those activities for the entire region. The Regional Manager specifically provides leadership and direction by overseeing all region-wide Supply Chain operational functions at the assigned Business Units to include receiving, internal distribution and delivery, warehousing, inventory and par management/replenishment, transportation, contract implementation and conversions, oversees the customer experience and directs site leaders in their liaison role to the Business Unit leadership for all Supply Chain activities.
The Regional Manager performs all duties in a manner that promotes Aspirus' mission, values and philosophy and is accountable for taking strategic direction from the System Director, Supply Chain Operations and Logistics, and assess, plans, develops, executes and implements these strategies and tactics to achieve optimal financial performance, outstanding operational efficiency, supply chain leadership excellence, supports clinical superiority, promotes system standardization, and enhances the customer and patient experience. The Regional Manager improves organizational capabilities, optimizes processes, builds teams, and directs staff development.
The position must establish and maintain effective working relationships with his/her leader as well as peer positions, other staff and leaders throughout the health system and other external business partners. The Regional Manager must also assist in the development and execution of customer focused business plans and operational strategies that respond to the needs of those we serve. The individual in this position is expected to be an innovator who has the demonstrated ability to implement and execute a strategic plan and providing that direction to his/her subordinates. The incumbent in this position will also be tasked with addressing complex risks and situations and be responsible for minimizing such risks through consultation with the System Director as needed and necessary.
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hour every pay period, Day only
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of hospital management and policy administration, supply chain best practices, critical thinking skills, as well as the development and implementation of budgets, financial strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree. Experience may be substituted for education in the absence of a formal degree.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of supply chain experience. Healthcare supply chain experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing logistics and inventory operations utilizing a Materials Management Information System required. Lawson/Infor experience preferred. Experience using an automated point of use or handheld par management system, or a Kanban inventory process also preferred.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management from a professional organization such as the Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or from a similar organization is highly preferred. In addition, a certification in lean or six sigma from a training provider accredited by either the Council for Six Sigma Certification or the International Association for Six Sigma Certification is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Service oriented, strategic leader with demonstrated quantitative, technical, and financial expertise.
  • Proven track record of performance improvement and project management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to be successful in a fast-paced, high tension, heavy workload environment with ever- changing priorities.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
