Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Procurement Leader will lead the sourcing and commercial management of warehousing, distribution, cross-docking, fulfillment, and related third-party logistics services across Climate Solutions Americas (CSA).
This leader will establish and execute the warehouse procurement strategy, ensuring that Carrier has the right external partners, contractual structures, capacity, service levels, and cost models to support business growth and supply chain transformation. The role will partner closely with Logistics Operations, Supply Chain, Aftermarket, Business Units, Finance, Legal, Real Estate, and the Global Procurement organization.
The position will play a critical role in CSA's distribution network transformation, including new warehouse implementations, contract renewals, capacity expansions, productivity programs, and the development of flexible solutions to respond to demand volatility and operational constraints.
This role is Hybrid and requires 4 days in office and 1 day remote from Atlanta, Charlotte, or Palm Beach Gardens. Must be a permanent US resident to qualify. This role does not offer relocation.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Procurement Strategy
  • Develop and execute the CSA warehousing and distribution sourcing strategy, including fulfillment, cross-docking, transloading, yard management, and value-added logistics services.
  • Build a multi-year sourcing roadmap aligned with network transformation, business growth, and logistics strategy.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, labor models, technology, automation, and commercial practices.
  • Drive supplier consolidation, standardization, competition, and total-cost reduction opportunities.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Selection
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contracting.
  • Translate operational requirements into sourcing specifications, pricing structures, service levels, and evaluation criteria.
  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, and Engineering to assess supplier capabilities, implementation readiness, technology, and scalability.
  • Develop fact-based supplier recommendations balancing cost, service, capacity, risk, technology, and growth requirements.
  • Ensure transparent, compliant, and well-governed supplier selection processes.

Commercial & Contract Management
  • Lead commercial negotiations for new operations, renewals, expansions, and operational changes.
  • Develop standardized commercial models covering labor, storage, handling, equipment, technology, and productivity commitments.
  • Establish contracts with clear performance metrics, incentives, gainsharing, audit rights, and continuous improvement requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and Real Estate to manage contractual protections and obligations.
  • Maintain oversight of contract renewals, rate structures, commitments, and commercial risks.

Supplier Performance & Value Creation
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and executive business reviews.
  • Develop supplier scorecards covering cost, productivity, service, safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and compliance.
  • Partner with operations to address performance gaps and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a qualified supplier pipeline to reduce risk and increase competition.
  • Deliver year-over-year productivity through process improvements, automation, network optimization, and supplier innovation.

Network Transformation & Implementation
  • Serve as procurement lead for warehouse launches, consolidations, relocations, cross-docks, and distribution center projects.
  • Align sourcing activities with facility, transportation, inventory, systems, and operational strategies.
  • Support business case development, including operating costs, implementation expenses, capital requirements, and contractual commitments.
  • Ensure supplier readiness through robust implementation, staffing, technology, contingency planning, and governance.
  • Support temporary capacity solutions when operational constraints arise.

Financial Management & Governance
  • Own warehouse procurement productivity initiatives and ensure savings validation with Finance.
  • Develop total-cost-of-ownership models covering warehousing, transportation, inventory, capital, and service tradeoffs.
  • Support annual operating plans, forecasts, budgets, and long-range cost planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Carrier procurement policies, risk standards, contracting requirements, and delegation of authority.
  • Provide executive reporting on sourcing progress, supplier performance, productivity, market conditions, and risks.
Leadership Expectations
  • Act as a strategic business partner balancing cost, service, operational continuity, and business growth.
  • Build strong relationships across Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, IT, Real Estate, Aftermarket, and business teams.
  • Challenge requirements constructively and introduce external benchmarks and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong executive communication, influence, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Drive supplier accountability while maintaining productive long-term partnerships.
  • Lead teams through complex sourcing decisions, warehouse transitions, and network transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Business.
  • Significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, distribution, or Third-party logistics management.
  • Proven success leading complex warehouse or Third-party logistics sourcing events and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse cost structures, operating models, contracts, Service Level Agreements, and supplier performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, Real Estate, and business leaders.
  • Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, project management, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting large manufacturing, industrial, aftermarket, or distribution networks.
  • Experience with warehouse launches, consolidations, automation, and network transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, labor management systems, automation technologies, and 3PL operating models.
  • Experience managing large-scale warehousing and logistics spend across multiple regions or business units.
  • Professional certification (CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or equivalent).
  • MBA or other advanced degree.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
