About the Role

As a Logistics Load Builder at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in planning and building outbound shipments to ensure efficient, cost-effective transportation while maintaining exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for coordinating shipment loads, verifying documentation, supporting inventory accuracy, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered on time and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

You will partner closely with Sales, Logistics, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams to optimize transportation planning, improve service levels, and support the uninterrupted flow of products to customers. This is a full-time, onsite position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving logistical challenges, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong organizational and communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Build and coordinate outbound shipment loads to optimize transportation efficiency, inventory flow, and customer service.

  • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate, compliant, verified, and processed within the appropriate systems.

  • Coordinate transportation activities while ensuring customer delivery requirements are met accurately and on schedule.

  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and transportation partners to resolve issues and support cost-effective logistics operations.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Logistics, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams to improve service levels and shipment scheduling.

  • Support the Dispatch team by expediting load scheduling and identifying opportunities to improve transportation efficiency.

  • Analyze inventory levels and customer delivery requirements to support effective shipment planning.

  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.

  • Provide exceptional customer service through timely and professional communication.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance logistics performance and operational efficiency.

  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • College education preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a logistics, transportation, or supply chain environment.

  • Transportation or trucking industry experience is preferred.

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate inventory levels and customer delivery requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional email communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.

Annual Compensation Range: $55,000 - $63,000
