About Us
Hook to Fork is a fast-growing seafood and specialty foods distributor serving top chefs, restaurants, and resorts. We deliver premium, ultra-fresh products with speed, accuracy, and uncompromising cold-chain standards. We are seeking a dependable Operations Associate to assist with daily warehouse operations including packing seafood and specialty food orders, inventory handling, cold-chain preparation, local deliveries, and general operational support. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping seafood/specialty products.

  • Manage early morning order fulfillment (Mon–Sat).

  • Maintain accurate inventory in QuickBooks Enterprise, Excel, Word, and cloud drive systems.

  • Inspect inbound shipments for quality and accuracy.

  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.

  • Communicate with sales, drivers, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in food distribution or fine-dining kitchen/production (perishables).

  • Highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

  • Very comfortable with computers (QuickBooks, Excel, Word, cloud drives). If not fluent with technology, do not apply.

  • Solid cold-chain and food-handling knowledge.

  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in walk-ins/freezers.

  • Clear product identification skills (species, cuts, pack sizes, U/M).

Compensation & Schedule

  • Paid Trial Shift: Final candidates complete a 2-day, 4-hour paid working interview to validate inventory and warehouse skills.
