Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
Contract | Full time (30+ hours/week)
Pay rate: $25.00/hr
Available Shifts
Sunday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Sunday–Thursday: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Sunday–Thursday: 10:30 PM–6:00 AM
Tuesday–Saturday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Job Overview 
We are hiring a Service Associate (Base Operations) to support daily fleet operations, vehicle readiness, and mission execution.
This hands-on role supports autonomous vehicle testing, BaseOps technicians, parts inventory, and drive operations, ensuring vehicles, equipment, and test sites meet operational, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Support daily fleet operations and mission readiness across multiple test locations
  • Perform vehicle upkeep including cleaning, fueling/charging, and basic inspections
  • Ensure vehicles, tools, and workspaces are organized, clean, and operationally ready
  • Provide logistics support for vehicle movement, staging, and storage
  • Assist with vehicle readiness documentation and compliance paperwork
  • Execute mission prep procedures, including:
  • Launching and verifying software across multiple onboard devices
  • Verifying software and hardware configurations
  • Deploying software updates as directed
  • Capturing operational data and escalating issues
  • Support spare parts readiness, inventory organization, and transport

Required Qualifications 
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience in automotive, fleet operations, maintenance, or technical support
  • Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Repair (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely use carts, dollies, and hand tools
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, and climb stairs during shifts
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, substance abuse policy, and MVR check
