Powering Manufacturing Operations Through Reliable Warehouse Support!

MEPPIs Switchgear Division (SWGD) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Worker to support manufacturing operations through material handling, inventory support, and logistics activities. In this role, you will perform routine manual duties such as crating and uncrating materials, staging inventory, operating material-handling equipment, and transporting materials to ensure efficient and safe production support.


What Youll Do

Handle & Transport Materials: Load and unload materials between MEPPI facilities safely and efficiently without damage; transport materials to designated locations as required.
Operate Company Vehicles & Equipment: Drive MEPPI vehicles as assigned; operate forklifts, cranes, and other powered equipment following all safety guidelines.
Stage & Return Materials: Stage and return MRR materials, bins, pallets, A-frames, and stackable racks to the warehouse.
Support Inventory Operations: Stock and maintain the Keystone Drive Work-In-Process (WIP) area; disperse inventory and expense items as required.
Receive & Process Incoming Materials: Receive incoming shipments using forklifts and cranes; uncrate materials with hand and power tools; tag and move materials to proper locations.
Support Interoffice Operations: Deliver and pick up interoffice mail as needed.
Assist Department Leadership: Support and assist the HVSD Supervisor as assigned.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Assist with and provide recommendations to improve company policies and procedures related to warehouse and material handling operations.
Promote Department Excellence: Further the goals and positive, professional image of the SWGD Manufacturing Department through safe, reliable, and cooperative work practices.
Champion Safety & Compliance: Maintain working knowledge of MEPPIs Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies and understand their impact on daily work.


What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical & Safety Skills:

  • Required safety and operational training to operate material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes)
  • Ability to safely and correctly use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices
  • Basic computer and data entry skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder height
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts
  • Ability to pass a medical examination for Commercial Driver Fitness Determination to operate company vehicles

Other Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately
