Job description

Position title: Logistics and Sustainment SME

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Clearance required: SECRET

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Support logistics operations and supply chain management functions across the program.
  • Assist with inventory oversight, asset tracking, and accountability processes.
  • Ensure timely and efficient logistics support, including parts procurement, repair, and supply chain management.
  • Procure spare parts, components, and consumables for UxS platforms. Deliverables: Purchase orders, shipping records, and inventory reports.
  • Manage inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize the supply chain. Deliverables: Inventory management reports, and logistics performance metrics.
  • Arrange for the transportation and shipping of UxS assets and components. Deliverables: Shipping manifests, and transportation records.
  • Conduct logistics compliance reviews and ensure alignment with applicable DoD policies and standards.
  • Support maintenance planning, sustainment scheduling, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Analyze logistics data and prepare reports to support decision-making and operational planning.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DoD logistics or supply chain management. Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and transportation regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA).
