Job description

Create Wellness is looking for a Distribution & Logistics Manager to own the day-to-day execution of the flow of goods within our supply chain. This is a highly operational, hands-on role โ€” youโ€™ll sit at the center of how our products move: coordinating raw goods shipments across the country to manufacturing partners, managing inbound and outbound flows with our 3PL, and making sure finished product reaches our retail and DTC customers on time.

Youโ€™ll report directly to the Director of Distribution & Logistics and will own the operational relationship with our third-party logistics provider, driving accountability, service levels, and continuous cost improvement.

This role demands someone who shows up ready to execute, brings a โ€œget it doneโ€ mentality to every challenge, and communicates openly and directly with the people around them. Cross-functional collaboration is a core part of how we operate at Create โ€” youโ€™ll partner closely with every team.

Key Responsibilities:Shipment Coordination & Logistics Execution
  • Manage the full shipment schedule for raw goods moving across the country to co-manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and other partners.
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound flows through our 3PL, ensuring inventory arrives on time, in full, and in good condition.
  • Oversee domestic freight for retailer replenishment, DTC fulfillment, and special projects.
  • Maintain 100% visibility and accountability across all open shipments โ€” track it, flag it, resolve it.
3PL Relationship & Cost Management
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for our 3PL partner, managing day-to-day performance, escalations, and continuous improvement.
  • Hold the 3PL accountable to SLAs; proactively surface issues before they impact the business.
  • Identify and lead cost optimization opportunities within logistics and fulfillment, from carrier rate negotiation to process efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve 3PL systems integrations (WMS, TMS) to ensure accurate data flow.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
  • Communicate regularly with raw goods suppliers and contract manufacturers on shipment readiness, production timelines, and delivery expectations.
  • Partner with the Inventory Planner to align PO timing with lead times, MOQs, and production windows.
  • Track supplier KPIs and maintain structured performance records; escalate issues when needed.
Systems & Documentation Ownership
  • Own D&L info accuracy โ€” lead times, shipping documents, shipping schedules, and order flows.
  • Monitor exceptions and resolve them quickly in partnership with internal teams.
  • Contribute to the ongoing stabilization and improvement of our ERP environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Inventory Planning, Finance, Sales, and Brand to align logistics execution with broader business priorities.
  • Keep stakeholders proactively informed โ€” no surprises, clear communication, solutions-forward thinking.
  • Contribute to operational process improvements that help the team scale.

Requirements

Who You Are:
  • You get the work done. Your first instinct when a problem surfaces is to solve it โ€” not to wait for direction or escalate unnecessarily.
  • Youโ€™re on time, every time. Deadlines matter, commitments matter, and you treat them that way.
  • You give and receive feedback well. Youโ€™re direct, respectful, and see candid communication as a tool for getting better.
  • Youโ€™re collaborative by nature. You understand that great logistics execution depends on tight relationships across every function in the company โ€” and you invest in those relationships
  • Youโ€™re detail-obsessed but not in the weeds. You hold the details without losing sight of the bigger picture
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-4+ years in logistics, distribution, supply chain, or operations โ€” ideally within CPG, wellness, food & beverage, or physical product companies.
  • Logistics & Freight: Hands-on experience coordinating domestic freight, managing 3PL relationships, and overseeing complex shipment schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Proven track record managing external partners โ€” holding them accountable, negotiating terms, and driving performance improvement.
  • Systems Fluency: Comfortable in an ERP environment; strong in Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with 3PL, WMS or TMS platforms is a plus.
  • Communication: Clear, direct, and proactive in how you communicate โ€” with vendors, partners, and teammates.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, including bonus and equity
  • Fully-covered health care
  • 401(k)
  • a $250/quarterly wellness stipend
  • WFH Fridays
  • Beautiful office in downtown NYC
  • Continuously offering more perks
