  • Report circumstances causing delayed deliveries or material cost impacts to supervisor and manager.

  • Create and disseminate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and handle high volume of workload

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills- written and verbal 

• Exceptional attention to detail and great organizational skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office with a high focus on Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Team player

Essential Functions:

·        Work with TMS system to manage daily inbound/outbound shipments by keeping record of ETA and estimate in-warehouse date and update internal system

·        Report to supervisor and manager any circumstances that will cause delayed deliveries or material impacts on costs: failed loads, delays, OS&D issues, branch/cross-dock scheduling

·        Lane rates - using bidding software for spot quotes and department resources for RFPs work with them to negotiate lowest rates 

·        Communication - operations, buying, shippers and Branches - problems and delays 

·        Create and disseminate reports daily, weekly, and monthly

·        Work to a schedule prioritizing tasks based on impact on operations and buying 

·        Address systemic issues causing delivery delays including carrier performance, buyer communications, vendor and branch loading and unloading problems
