Inventory and Logistics Manager at A Shop of Things!

A Shop of Things is woman-owned and based in Nashville, TN. We make women's accessories, homegoods, trinkets, anything cute and fun! The Inventory and Logistics Manager plays a key role in digitally organizing and tracking inventory. They act as a liaison between the company and the Third Party Logistics warehouse to ensure all processes are being completed seamlessly. They are also cross-trained in Wholesale Management.

Inventory Management

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with 3PL about inventory additions, discrepancies, expected order volume, etc
  • Manage POs and invoices
  • Create SKUs and Item Listings for all products in Shopify
  • Responsible for calculating and recording Cost of Goods for all inventory
  • Perform weekly inventory audits and reports on website
  • Drop off and pick up inventory from the 3PL
  • Generate weekly inventory reports
  • Maintain inventory spreadsheets
  • Work with vendors on refunds and returns for damaged products
  • Prepare new inventory to be named and sorted into drops
Logistics Management

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and manage Purchase Orders for all incoming shipments per company standard
  • Inform 3PL of all incoming shipments
  • Schedule deliveries using 3PL scheduling software
  • Track shipments of incoming orders and ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage the movement of orders within our order management platform
  • Implement weekly/monthly shipment reports
Wholesale and Customer Experience Management

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check wholesale platforms daily for new orders
  • Reply to customer messages daily
  • Approve orders and assign Ship by Date everyday
  • Manage invoices, payments, and shipping information for all orders
  • Manage Wholesale Product listings and Catalogs
  • Make weekly product additions to online catalogs
  • Generate weekly/monthly sell-thru reports
  • Assist with Customer Experience for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operations.
