Job description

SSI needs to add a Logistics Analyst III to support our current list of services provided to the U.S. Navy. This position is established in support of the Direct Attack Weapons Program Office (PMA-201) and the Direct Attack Weapons Guidance Systems (DAWGS) located at NAWC WD China Lake, located at Ridgecrest, California.

Responsibilities
  • Provide logistics support to program management leadership, technical assistance, guide and direct logistics support to Logistics Manager Specialists, Program Manager for Logistics (APML) at PMA 201, and the IPT Lead on all logistics topics, issues, and concerns.
  • Responsible for assisting the PAWS team in the development and execution of the Bomb Fuze Logistics program, budgets, and associated budget development processes.
  • Review All Weapons Information System (AWIS) Firing Reports, Conventional Ordnance Discrepancy Reports, DRWEB modules and relevant technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide inventory management coordination with the Naval Operations Logistics Support Center (NOLSC) in directing movement of assets, as well as receipt, inspection, and shipping policies.
  • Provide acquisition logistics assistance of DOD and Navy acquisition policies.

Salary Range: $86,070.00 -$97,094.40

Required Qualifications
  • Active Clearance and US Citizenship
  • BS or BA degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, or Management is preferred
    • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Five (5) years of operational Navy/Marine Corps supply support management experience or Certified Professional Logistician (CPL).
  • Working knowledge of Navy General Purpose Bombs, Bomb Fuzes, Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), Computer Control Group (CCGs) and other precision attack weapons systems components.
Additional Preferred Experience
  • Acquisition Logistics or operational logistics experience with precision strike weapons, Bombs, and bomb fuzes in particular.
  • Able to work independently and interact well, both verbally and in writing with Navy and Marine Corps civilian and military staff.
  • Shall be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Ordnance Information System Retail and Ordnance Information System Wholesale.
  • Some Travel may be required.
