6:30 AM - 3:00 PM w/ potential for overtime, based on customer demand.

SUMMARY:

The Logistics Specialist at our manufacturing plant in Savannah, Georgia, will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of materials, inventory, and finished products to support efficient plant operations. This role combines supply chain coordination, inventory control, and transportation management to ensure timely procurement, storage, and delivery of goods.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

· Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock audits to prevent shortages or overstock.

· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and vendors.

· Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to align logistics activities with manufacturing schedules.

· Coordinate complete supply chain activities for domestic customers (i.e. Rivian, Tesla), starting from initial ordering of material from suppliers, labelling products, to shipping/export documentation, and final customer delivery.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as delays, damage in transit, or discrepancies in shipments.

· Prepare and distribute purchase orders and forecast information to Tier II vendors

· Support overall plant compliance and 5S initiatives, including ISO14001 and IATF16949 standards.

· Maintain detailed records of all logistics activities, compliance documentation, and performance metrics.

· Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase reliability in the supply chain.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field is preferred, but not required.

· Prior experience of 1 – 2 years in industrial or manufacturing logistics is desirable.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.

· Proficiency with logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
