Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join the Prestone team. This role is based at our Rosemont office and will require a local candidate for a hybrid work schedule.

The expected compensation for this position is an annual base salary of $125,000-$135,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Prestone transportation planning team (direct reports).
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators such as Cost per pound, On-Time Delivery, On-Time Pickup and Primary tender acceptance.
  • Support the creation and execution of the logistics annual operating budget.
  • Build and grow strategic carrier partnerships to maximize service levels and minimize the impact of market pressures.
  • Negotiate favorable freight rates and tariffs through carrier RFQ’s.
  • Eliminate delivery related customer compliance fines.
  • Onboard all new carriers to ensure a successful transition to the Prestone business.
  • Work closely with OTM team to drive system and planner efficiencies.
  • Own the relationship with our customs clearance broker.
  • Support the month end/year end close process to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ supply chain operations and transportation management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge. Understanding of multiple regression models.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Proven ability to work and influence at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Transportation Management system –Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in an ERP system – JD Edwards experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient user of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications and strong analytical/problem solving skills.
