Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Fulltime, Onsite, Monday-Friday


Role Overview:

In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for both strategic logistics planning and hands-on supply chain operations. You will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient flow of resources, from initial planning to final delivery, supporting our customer's missions and weapons system.

Specific Skillset

Logistics Management:

  • Direct, develop, and/or perform logistics management operations, planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support program objectives.
  • Identify specific requirements for resources (money, manpower, material, facilities, and services) and correlate them with program plans to ensure timely and accurate support.
  • Coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and develop/adjust plans and schedules.

Supply Chain Operations:

  • Oversee stock maintenance, establish/adjust stock levels and reorder points.
  • Conduct physical inventories and maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records.
  • Process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain items in storage, and issue material to personnel.
  • Keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low, and prepare reports.
  • Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock and search catalogs to obtain or correct stock numbers.
  • Contact customers, supply organizations, and transportation units to obtain material status information and expedite deliveries.
  • Identify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies.
  • Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform property management control processes.
  • Operate computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections.


Requirements:

Education & Certifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or supply chain management is a plus

Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.
  • Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support.
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
  • Knowledge of acquisition processes, automated records and control systems, material substitution criteria, and storage, issue, and disposal processes.
