Job description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for monitoring non-active shipments, managing operational exceptions, and ensuring timely, effective communication with assigned carriers. This role supports load execution by proactively resolving issues, tracking key shipment milestones, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date status information. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day transportation operations and delivering a reliable customer experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Pay Range: $20-$21/hr Based on experience
$500 SIGN ON BONUS!!!
Essential Job Duties
  • Review and resolve issues escalated from second shift teams to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Ensure rate agreements are properly executed, signed, and audited for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor dispatched and IR loads, addressing orders that remain unassigned or inactive beyond expected timeframes.
  • Manage and update same-day shipment statuses to ensure timely and accurate tracking.
  • Track multi-day shipments and resolve pickup and delivery issues to minimize delays.
  • Follow up on delivered loads with missing Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation and ensure proper receipt.
  • Receive and manage inbound calls from assigned carriers, providing timely support and issue resolution.
  • Proactively communicate shipment updates, delays, and resolutions to carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Additional duties, assigned to support business needs.

Required Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business or a related field is a plus.
  • Some experience with order entry or a similar administrative role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry is preferred.
  • Some experience with customer service is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment.
