Logistics Coordinator - Corporate Supply Chain
About the Role:
Victaulic's logistics team moves products around the world, and we're seeking a strategic problem-solver to help us optimize every step of the journey. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be a key player in supporting our global operations-coordinating shipments, resolving logistics challenges, and driving supply chain efficiency. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be critical in helping us achieve our strategic objectives and deliver seamless, world-class logistics performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Freight Payment and Global Logistics Operations:
  • Provide backup for freight payment functions.
  • Analyze carrier contracts, rates, and tariffs to ensure accurate billing and resolve disputes.
  • Coordinate and execute shipments of finished goods, raw and bulk materials.
  • Support international shipments, including import and export compliance.
  • Utilize Harmonized Tariff to classify and/or confirm classification of international shipments.
  • Forecast transportation needs and identify cost-savings opportunities.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Shipping and Documentation:
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation.
  • Maintain contact with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of documentation.
  • Monitor general Logistics email for shipment generation, resolution, and expedites.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.
  • Continuously communicate with stakeholders to ensure optimal shipment handling and prioritization.
  • Seek and incorporate stakeholder feedback to improve processes.

Process Improvement and Data Analysis:
  • Challenge and optimize existing shipping processes through data-driven analysis.
  • Drive and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain data overviews and KPIs.
  • Develop and document standard processes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or 5+ years' experience in logistics operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to handle a high volume of tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Finance (preferred).
  • Must possess a strong mental aptitude to quickly acquire an in-depth understanding of numerous internal applications/processes.
  • Easily gain an understanding of assigned carriers' contracts, pricing methodologies, and rules tariffs, along with a firm grasp of the transportation industry in general so that the root cause(s) of discrepancy items can be quickly identified
