Job Description:
Cortina Solutions is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist to support the U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Program Resident Inspection Office (PRO) in Mobile, Alabama. This position provides logistics readiness, outfitting verification, and configuration management support for ship construction oversight activities.
The selected candidate will support Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), equipment validation activities, and development of outfitting status materials used for program reviews and milestone tracking across cutter production efforts.
Responsibilities include:
    • Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials supporting project reviews, status briefings, and milestone tracking activities
    • Generate ad-hoc reports addressing outfitting progress, configuration status, and logistics readiness metrics
    • Support verification of cutter outfitting and load-out activities aboard vessels under construction
    • Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) to validate installed equipment against approved configuration baselines
    • Assist with tracking configuration changes and supporting documentation associated with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
    • Support validation of equipment placement, storeroom configuration, and logistics support elements during production
    • Monitor configuration-controlled documentation supporting ship construction logistics and sustainment planning
    • Provide presentations and status updates related to outfitting progress and PCA activities
    • Support coordination of logistics lifecycle documentation associated with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
    • Assist with evaluation of equipment lifecycle support considerations and sustainment planning inputs
    • Participate in meetings supporting outfitting, configuration management, and logistics readiness activities as directed by the COR

Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, engineering, or a related technical field (or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree)
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting logistics, configuration management, or shipbuilding production activities
    • Knowledge of ship outfitting and load-out processes supporting vessel construction programs
    • Experience supporting Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) or configuration baseline validation activities
    • Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes and configuration tracking documentation
    • Knowledge of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documentation processes
    • Experience supporting logistics lifecycle sustainment planning activities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
    • Ability to work in an active shipyard environment with moderate walking aboard vessels under construction
    • Active DoD SECRET security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or U.S. Navy shipbuilding acquisition programs
    • Familiarity with Technical Assessment Reviews (TAR) and production milestone readiness events
    • Experience supporting vessel equipment validation, VIN marking, or product tracking activities
    • Experience supporting storeroom configuration or provisioning readiness efforts
    • Experience supporting lifecycle logistics planning within a federal acquisition environment

Primary location: Mobile, AL
Travel: Up to 10% travel is anticipated.
