Job description

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

This job requires the employee to perform the following tasks:

  • Schedule outbound appointments with carriers using MS Outlook and JustFoods.
  • Communicate with Supervisor and Manager on shortage. Follow up with scheduling and runs for upcoming appointments. Communicate with CSR on delays and shortages.
  • Ensure appointed trucks arrive as scheduled, follow up as necessary.
  • Participate in semiannual physical inventory as requested.
  • Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. 35% Coordinate outbound appointment with transport

carriers. Daily review of open orders to ensure sufficient inventory is available on scheduled pick-up date. Schedule returns of finished goods being brought back to the facility.

  1. 20% Review of Ship Life, FIFO Concerns and expired finished goods reports. Complete requests to bill as needed and schedule the shipment to relieve inventory.
  1. 15% Work with and create the activities of the cycle batches & archive list in JustFoods for the department to determine what needs to be counted and analyze the counting results. Investigate discrepancies and report back findings to Supervisor and Manager.
  1. 10% Completion of SAP & PGI of Conagra shipments. And other customers as needed to meet with requirements.
  1. 5% Adjustments of container tickets for corrections. Report recurrence findings to Supervisor and/or Manager.
  1. 5% Perform the duties as Shipping Clerk on an as needed basis for breaks, vacations, and/or during busy times.
  1. 5% Ensures that polices/procedures are enforced and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  1. 5% Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor & Manager

Exposed to extreme cold/hot temperatures, high noise levels, wet floors. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
