Job description

Blue Moon entities: US Projects - Main focus on the Springer project
Reporting Line: Supply Chain Manager US
Dotted Line: Project Director
Direct reports: None (functional leadership across contract portfolio and contractors).
Location: Preference is for the Contract Manager to be located near the Springer Complex in Imlay, Nevada.
Purpose
The role requires a structured and commercially focused professional who will manage, negotiate, and administer contracts across projects and operations, excluding any primary EPC contracts while supporting EPC activities as required. The position is central to ensuring contractual compliance, commercial control, and risk management across services, equipment, and operational agreements. The role will also be instrumental in establishing contract management processes in SAP and ensuring governance, transparency, and alignment across all contract interfaces.
Scope & Accountability
  • Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts for projects and operations (services, equipment, and support contracts), including Change Order Management
  • Manage full contract lifecycle including requests for proposals (RFP), bid evaluation and supplier selection, execution, variations, claims, and close-out
  • Review and validate invoices as required and support approvals in line with Delegation of Authority
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and applicable legal requirements
  • Interface as required with legal advisors and support interpretation of contractual obligations
  • Maintain contract-related registers, obligation tracking, and documentation control
  • Monitor contract performance and identify risks, deviations, and opportunities
  • Provide contract support to EPC packages and coordinate with EPC Contract Manager, as required
  • Act as superuser for contract management in SAP and related systems
  • Coordinate with purchasers to ensure alignment between contracts and purchasing activities
  • Collaborate with project teams, finance, and external contractors on contract execution
  • Ensure accurate reporting on contract status, risks, and commercial performance
  • Support contract close-out including final accounts and documentation handover
  • Submit contract management reports as defined by the company.

  • Approve or reject contract terms, changes, and variations within authority limits
  • Reject non-compliant contractual actions or deliverables
  • Escalate and mitigate contractual and commercial risks impacting cost, schedule, or compliance
  • Control and maintain contract data, registers, and governance in SAP
  • Issue and manage contractual communications and documentation
  • Support dispute resolution processes in coordination with legal and project stakeholders
  • Approve deviations from contract management procedures within authority limits.
