Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
 
Job Summary:
Coordinates the domestic movement of goods from suppliers to customers or company facilities. Ensures accurate shipping documentation, timely dispatch of goods, and effective communication with carriers and internal stakeholders to support on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with transportation providers (LTL, FTL, courier, etc.) to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments across the U.S.
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to manage logistics expectations and resolve delivery issues.
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy and completeness prior to release.
  • Create and maintain accurate domestic shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and carrier labels.
  • Monitor shipment progress, identify delays or discrepancies, and work with carriers to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain shipping schedules, track deliveries, and report delays or cost issues to management.
  • Assist with freight claims and coordinate resolution with carriers when shipments are damaged or lost.
  • Support the logistics team in managing freight spend and ensuring budget alignment.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work with purchasing and warehouse teams to coordinate outgoing and incoming shipments.
  • Apply working knowledge of domestic shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in domestic logistics coordination or transportation planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, LTL platforms, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020 as they relate to domestic transactions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP or shipping systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, KwikTag, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience reviewing freight rates, negotiating pricing, and selecting cost-effective routing options is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while performing job functions.
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed.
